A tool for reading serially published works on the same timeline as the original publication.
Many famous works of literature were originally published serially. In the age of binge-watching, a return to episodic viewing is perhaps the counter-counter-culture, but what about these famous stories that are now binge-read?!
No longer, now you can subscribe to be sent a notification when the next installment of drops.
Notification Methods
- 🔔 Web Push to receive notifications to read on device
- 📧 E-Mail to receive either a notification that the next edition is "out" or the full contents (maybe?)
- 🗞️ Maybe I'll one day spin this into a publishing company of my own and send out paper reprints (not serious, or am I?)
Available Works
I'm planning on only using things in the public domain. I found out about a similar movement where Dracula was being sent out in emails that lined up with the dates of the letters in the story and then discovered that The Count of Monte Cristo was originally published serially. I'm also a big fan of Sherlock Holmes, which was also famously published serially.
All of that's to say, why not do for these other works (roughly) what was done for Dracula!
