# 🥣 Cereal

_A tool for reading serially published works on the same timeline as the original publication._
|
|
|
|
Many famous works of literature were originally published serially. In the age of binge-watching, a return to
|
|
episodic viewing is perhaps the counter-counter-culture, but what about these famous stories that are now
|
|
binge-read?!
|
|
|
|
No longer, now you can subscribe to be sent a notification when the next installment of <your serially published work
|
|
here> drops.
|
|
|
|
## Notification Methods
|
|
- 🔔 Web Push to receive notifications to read on device
|
|
- 📧 E-Mail to receive either a notification that the next edition is "out" or the full contents (maybe?)
|
|
- 🗞️ Maybe I'll one day spin this into a publishing company of my own and send out paper reprints (not serious, or am I?)
|
|
|
|
## Available Works
|
|
I'm planning on only using things in the public domain. I found out about a similar movement where _Dracula_ was being
|
|
sent out in emails that lined up with the dates of the letters in the story and then discovered that _The Count of Monte
|
|
Cristo_ was originally published serially. I'm also a big fan of Sherlock Holmes, which was also famously published
|
|
serially.
|
|
|
|
All of that's to say, why not do for these other works (roughly) what was done for _Dracula_!
|
